Book Description:

Darkly erotic. Supremely powerful.

Haley Hawthorne is a witch. She shuns her paranormal gifts, instead escaping into a mundane, reclusive life as an accountant for her Uncle Eli’s firm. Five years earlier, Haley was kidnapped by Raden, brother of Lucifer, and held captive as his personal sex slave. She escaped but still bears the scars, both physical and emotional. Now she’s turned away from both magic and sex, and she’s certain nothing will ever bring those lost things back into her life...

Damian, son to Lucifer, has renounced his right to the throne of Hell and has become a soldier for Adversus, hunting evil supernatural creatures on Earth. Unfortunately, he’s powerless to witches, and this witch can read his mind. He can’t decide what is more dangerous—the irresistible attraction he feels for her, or the intoxicating peace she gives him. One thing is certain, they both share a tortured past.

After Damian rescues her from an attack by monstrous djinn, Haley discovers the dangerously seductive soldier has secrets of his own. One of them is the collection of whips, ropes, handcuffs, and a leather riding crops he keeps locked away, though he refuses to show her his “Master” side. But when her trust in him grows, she finds herself increasingly intrigued by all the kinky things he’s hiding. But Damian has been given a new mission to kill a monster. A monster that turns out to be her uncle...

Excerpt:

Her fingers moved automatically, stumbling only slightly over the same heavy melodies she’d once played obsessively for hours. The bedroom door opened, and Damian walked into the room, breaking her reverie.

“Oh, hi.” He stared at her in surprise, holding a towel low around his waist, and Haley caught herself gaping at the defined muscles of his upper body, adorned with scars. “I didn’t know you were in here, I’m just gonna grab some clothes.”

His half naked body had her heart beating erratically in her chest, and Haley tried not to look at him as he pulled open a dresser drawer. She suddenly realized he was reaching for his own clothes. “Is…is this your room?”

“Yeah.” He retrieved a stack of folded clothes from the drawer. “You can stay in here though, I’ll sleep somewhere else.”

“I’m so sor—” Haley abruptly stopped speaking as he casually took off the towel, and she let out a barely audible gasp. Turning away from him, she brought her hand to cover her eyes. “I’m...I can go…”

Her pulse raced at the sound of rustling cotton as he dressed a few feet away from her.

“You play guitar?”

“Uh…no, not really… I mean… I don’t play well.” She kept her eyes hidden from him with one hand while she loosely held the neck of the guitar with the other, aware that her dress had hiked up around her hips in her cross-legged position.

“You can look now.”

She opened her eyes as he sat next to her, wearing a white T-shirt over gray sweatpants. “I thought it sounded really good.”

Looking down at the beautiful instrument in her lap, recognition sparked. “Is this yours?”

With a nod, he got up to pull her red guitar from the wall. “When did you learn how to play?”

“When I was younger,” she nervously held his shiny blue Les Paul, unsure where to put her hands, “but I got a little obsessed with it when I stayed in here for a few months.”

Damian sat down with hers and started tuning it. “So this is your room...” He concentrated on the strings in his hand. “And this is your guitar?”
“Red Velvet.” She nodded, trying to keep her breathing even.

“You named your guitar?” He smiled at her.
Haley relaxed a little as he tuned the strings. “I was very close with it for a while.” She took a steadying breath. “It kind of felt like therapy.”

“That was after you escaped?”

“Yes.” She lowered her gaze.

“I actually took this room because it had an amp in it.” Damian mindlessly played a slow melody on her guitar.

“When did you start playing?” The sound sent a tingling warmth through her, and she found herself staring at his fingers as they expertly moved along the strings.

“When I was a kid. It came naturally to me.”

Her focus dimmed at the powerful chords. “So…you were a kid…at one time…”

He nodded. “I’ve aged normally so far, like a human, but eventually I’ll stop aging.”

“How old are you?”

“Thirty-two.” He cast his gaze downward.
Haley looked thoughtfully at the bedspread, listening to the haunting music. “I’m twenty-seven.”

She volunteered the information. “I feel like I’m eighty, I never go out anywhere.” Her gaze flickered to him. “Are you really only thirty-two?”

He seemed surprised by her remark and looked back down to the strings. “It’s a lot older than you.”

“You’re immortal.” She gave him a half-smile. “You could be thousands of years old.”

Release Blitz - Unbridled Love by Alice Ward

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Book Description:

The day I met Lucas Dove was one of the luckiest days of my life. He was sexy and stable, the embodiment of everything I’d ever prayed for as a young gay kid growing up in small town Colorado.

The attraction was instant and intense. On the edge of insane. I loved him desperately and couldn’t believe he loved me back. We had it all the day we exchanged vows beside our best friends, Willow and James. Our future was bright. We were living our happy ever after.

Until now.

Now bigotry and hate want to tear our love apart. It wants to shred our lives into pieces. Old enemies converge with new, threatening to destroy our new family and separate us forever. And to my horror, it looks like they’ll win.

You met Matt and Lucas in "Love All Out". Now discover the rest of their story in "Unbridled Love", an emotional and steamy gay romance.

Excerpt:

“I can’t believe the first races are this Saturday,” I said, my voice brimming with nervous excitement.

“You and Lucas should just stay in Denver,” Willow suggested. “It doesn’t make much sense for you to drive up and back for the meeting with the attorney just to turn around and drive back a day later.”

“I suggested it, believe me,” I informed her. “Lord knows we could both use a day off. But Lucas has a junior roping class on Friday and he doesn’t want to disappoint the kids. Our meeting is at nine in the morning, so we’re going to drive up tonight. We’ll be back early tomorrow.”

“You should come to our place for dinner. I’ll make all your favorite foods to celebrate.”
I sighed and felt my nerves give a little twang. “Let’s not start planning the celebration before we know what’s going on,” I insisted. “For all we know, the attorney could tell us we’re dreaming. And even if the news is good, it could take years for us to be matched with a birth mother. And…”

Willow held up a hand to silence me, then reached across the table and folded it over mine. She met my eyes with a reassuring gaze.

“You and Lucas are going to be parents, Matt. No matter how long it takes or what you have to deal with to get there, the moment you hold your child in your arms, you’ll know that it was all worth it.”

“Thanks, Willow,” I said, staring down at Wyatt. “I may need you to swing by my house and give Lucas that speech. He’s even more nervous than I am.”
“I’ve already got that covered,” she told me with a mischievous grin. “James is breaking ice for the cattle. When he’s finished, he’s going to come get Wyatt and pay Lucas a visit.”

“You really think of everything,” I said with a rush of appreciation. I swallowed the last bite of my dumplings and snapped the lid to my bowl on with one hand.

“You’re kind of trapped there,” Willow observed. “Want me to take him?”

I nodded and rose to my feet, lifting Wyatt in my arms. “As much as I hate to give him up, I need to start hauling hay. I can’t wait until spring when we can just let everything out to graze.”
“I second that,” she agreed as I placed Wyatt in her outstretched arms. “Will you still come to dinner tomorrow? I won’t make a big deal about the appointment, but James and I would both like to know how it goes.”

My stomach fluttered with nerves thinking about the possibility of hearing the word ‘impossible’ at the appointment.

“Can we play it by ear?” I asked, my tone reinforcing my hesitation. “I’m not sure what type of moods we’ll be in…”

“I completely understand,” Willow insisted. “We’ll be praying for you. Just call or text when you leave the attorney’s office.”

“I will.” I bend down and kissed the top of Willow’s head before leaving the office.

Release Blitz - Burning Secrets by Helen Grey

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Book Description:

Betrayed by her murdered husband, Maddie Reed is confused, scared, and running for her life. One day she’s an elementary teacher. The next she’s thrust into the Witness Protection Program under the care of US Marshal Michael Weathers.

With the help of his former Delta Force friend, Jax Andrews and his fiancée Angie, Maddie and Michael race to stay one step ahead of the people who want her dead.

Reeling with the revelation of her husband’s deception and horrified by her own gullibility, Maddie clings to Michael’s strength and protection, unaware of the burning secret that threatens them both.

Excerpt:

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” he hissed.

It was obvious he was trying to hold his voice in check. The look on his face, the tone of his voice, and his very words infuriated me. “What does it look like?”

“I told you to stay in there. I told you to lock the door behind me!” He lowered the gun to his side, his eyes gazing around the woods behind the motel.

“I needed some air,” I snapped. I wiped my eyes, knew they were probably puffy and red now, along with my nose. Certainly, he could see that I’d been crying.

“Maddie, you have to follow my directions. Do you understand?”

My hands balled into fists. “I’m fed up with having no control over my own life! Go here! Do that! Boom!” I shook my head, the tears bubbling up again. I didn’t want to cry in front of him, to appear weak, but I couldn’t help it. “I don’t want to be here!”

His expression softened, but just a bit. I didn’t want to see that look of pity on his face. I shook my head angrily and made to move past him, bumping into his shoulder. He reached out and grabbed my arm, not forcefully, and pulled me toward him. He wrapped his arms around me, and for an instant, I succumbed to his attempts at comfort. I inhaled the scent of him — that damned Old Spice. The scent of laundry soap from his T-shirt and the slight hint of sweat and smoke.

I looked up at him, my eyes warm with tears. My heart thundered in my chest. “I don’t want to be here, Michael, do you understand that? I don’t want—”

And then, his lips were on mine.

I froze, so startled that I didn’t know how to react. But then, I did. I didn’t know what to blame it on. My anger at Eric, the dissatisfaction of my marriage and the truth of it, the fact that I was running for my life, had barely avoided being blown into bits… it didn’t matter. For the briefest of seconds, I responded. I felt ashamed, guilty, but I did it anyway. His lips were so soft. The feelings that his kiss evoked in me were startling. My blood raced and my breasts tingled. I felt myself grow damp.

Then reality came crashing down on me and I was jolted back to reality. I quickly broke off the kiss, staring up at him in wide-eyed amazement that I’d even allowed it to happen.

“I’m sorry,” he gruffly apologized. “I shouldn’t have done that.”

Book Description:

This small-town sheriff has big-city secrets

As a detective in New York, Jacob Marx had been deep under cover in a drug cartel…until a bust went terribly wrong. Now posing as a good guy is proving even tougher. Since the force sent him to Brookhollow to lie low as a deputy sheriff, he's been struggling to stay detached from the townspeople. Especially Heather, the gorgeous, high-heeled bartender at the local pool hall who asks too many questions. Tempted as he is, he can't allow himself to connect with her or anyone else. His career and safety are at stake. Of course, a little flirting couldn't hurt… Could it?

Excerpt:

“Well, there you go. Longest eight-minute ride of your life,” Jacob said.

Heather unbuckled her seat belt and faced him. “Aren’t you going to stay to help decorate the tree and see the lighting?”

He really had nowhere else to be. Technically, he was on duty. And technically, this was his important assignment today. “I guess I could stay for a bit.” He shut off the car and reached for his gloves in the backseat, just as she went to grab hers.

Their heads butted and she jumped back. “Ow.”

He laughed. “Sorry. You stay there. I’ll get the gloves.”

Instead of handing hers over, he held one open for her.

She sent him a funny look as she slid her hand into the soft cashmere, then she held her other hand up for the second. “I’ll pretend that wasn’t totally awkward,” she said as she opened the door.

He touched her arm, stopping her.

She turned back in surprise. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing. I just want to say thank you...for making the effort.” He wasn’t exactly making it easy for people in town to get to know him, and she could have continued ignoring him like everyone else.

“No problem...but I’m going to be gone soon, so you’ll have to step up if you want people around here to accept you.”

And what if he only wanted acceptance from the one person who was leaving soon? Then what?
